Backup data can be replicated from your Backup Server to Vembu Cloud Server to maintain as an offsite copy for an additional safety purpose. Backup data residing on Vembu Cloud Server is safe and secure even though the onsite copy of backups gets corrupted or crashed. How it works:

Vembu BDR Backup server allows the user to replicate the backed up data to the Vembu Cloud. During a disaster,the user can rebuild the whole BDR Backup Server or restore backup data directly from Cloud Server anywhere globally from the cloud storage. Once replication to Vembu Cloud Server is configured after logging into the BDR server console, Vembu BDR backup Server will begin to transmit backup data via WAN to Vembu Cloud server. The backups are synchronously replicated from the Vembu BDR Backup server to Vembu Cloud server. (i.e) Once the incremental gets completed at the Vembu BDR Backup Server and it gets replicated instantly to Vembu Cloud Server.
  • Cloud replication process can be enabled on the Vembu BDR Backup server, by selecting the “Vembu Cloud” from Off-Site Copy Management
  • Offsite Copy Management allows the user to configure the replication process (i.e) time preference and offsite copy schedule
  • Replicated data will be compressed and encrypted to reduce the storage need and increase the security against the known threats
  • Offsite replication to Vembu Cloud provides the option to quickly boot the backed up VM, Instant File Recovery and Downloading image data in various file formats like VHD, VHDX, VMDK, VMDK-Flat and RAW
