Vembu BDR Suite Reviews

First and foremost the value you get for the price you pay is great. Vembu is a competitive product to Veeam and Nakivo, yet the pricing is much more pleasant. Also, my support experience with them has been good. They were responsive (even while I was trialling the product) both times I’ve contacted them.

Our biggest challenge was to find a vendor that would allow us to host our own backups (both for our own infrastructure but also to sell as a service to our clients). Vembu ticked the boxes well for a low cost of entry and license fee structure and gives you the ability to host your own backup data or if you want to use their cloud storage.

Implementing this solution is very easy, installing the server and configuring the clients. Support is always exceptional, the Vembu engineers are always hands-on and very talented. The price is very good, including free backups for or client OS.

The most advantage is Vembu BDR supporting all types of backup i.e workstation, Physical Server, Vmware, Hyper-V, application-aware backup, image backup, network backup etc.. & most great business benefits are unlimited workstation backup free in the free edition.

VERY very flexible, it does not require backup over the cloud if not needed. Very fast backups over the network. Nice email notifications. Top-Notch technical support, VERY fast support. Quicker install and setup of workstations if you could set default values. Very low cost per workstation compared to other products.

Vembu BDR is easy to use with a simple, straight forward user interface. The support is outstanding, responsive, and quick, with great follow up. The speed at which Vembu BDR works is very impressive with little resource requirements. The Vembu BDR status emails are short and informative.

It does what it says, it does it efficiently, it does it at a decent price point, and the support is great. That’s from my perspective. You can go download a trial, set it up and chat with support if you run into any issues getting it going. When messaging support, you don’t get some low-level schmo, either. You get an engineer that knows his stuff. So I’m pretty technical and setting this up and getting it going myself was not an issue. Once it’s working, backing up, and you test some restores, you’ll see how usable it is!

I have been using other Backup Solutions but they really like their prices so I was looking for a different solution and I found it with Vembu. It fits my business model, my business needs, the backup works and can be exported out in a variety of forms and can perform bare-metal restores. It fits my needs, it’s easy to set up and the pricing is significantly cheaper than the “big guys”. Look into it, I think you’ll really appreciate and like it.

The pricing and licensing structure are spot on. I don’t think there’s anything out there in the market that does either the licensing structure or the pricing structure better. I would give Vembu a ten out of ten. I’ve evaluated other products. I don’t think anybody else has any advantage, certainly in terms of backup, over what Vembu provides.

The dashboard is very easy to use, setting up the backup is very intuitive. Since that’s our primary purpose in using it, it made it easy, when I was doing evaluations a year ago, to choose the product. It’s a great product. Amazing support. It’s a very good value for our environment, no question. We will not change. This is a good product that does everything we want and more.
