Vembu Technologies has acquired CloudNucleus, a data protection software developer with specific focus on continuous data protection with bare metal backup and disaster recovery for Windows and Linux environments in September 2011. Here is the press release about the acquisition

Vembu will integrate CloudNucleus' Bare Metal Backup and Recovery (BMR) product, StoreCube, into Vembu StoreGrid, the online data backup solution used by over 2600 managed service providers and managed hosting providers world wide.

The StoreGrid/StoreCube integrated product is expected to be released by end of October 2011.
