Instant boot or drive mounting may encounter failure, presenting the error message "Error: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." This issue commonly arises when a prior instant boot session for the same VHD file was interrupted or did not reach completion.
Solution:
To address this issue, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Access the backup server console.
2. Resolve the problem by resetting the Virtual Drive mounting status. Remount the Virtual Drive from the backup server console.
By following these steps, you can rectify the impact of the interrupted session and successfully proceed with Instant Boot or drive mounting.
