Timeout Error in Receiving Authorization Ack in BDRSuite

Timeout Error in Receiving Authorization Ack in BDRSuite

KB ID: 26
Error:
Encountering the error message: "Time out in receiving authorization ack"
Cause:
This error occurs when BDRSuite client agents fail to receive the authorization acknowledgment from the backup server within the specified time of 120 seconds. The BDRSuite client agent typically waits for 120 seconds to receive the authorization acknowledgment, but in certain cases, clients may not receive these acknowledgments within the stipulated time.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, increase the authorization acknowledgment wait time for the problematic clients by following the steps below:
1. Stop Vembu Service: Stop the Vembu service on the client machine.
2. Modify Configuration File: Open the '<vembu_home>\conf\SGConfiguration.conf' file.
3. Adjust Timeout Settings: Change the values for the "BackupAck" and "Authorization" tags from "120" to "600".
BackupAck="600"
Authorization="600"
4. Save Configuration File: Save the SGConfiguration.conf file.
5. Restart Vembu Service: Start the BDRSuite service on the client machine.
By increasing the authorization acknowledgment wait time to 600 seconds for the problematic clients, this should resolve the timeout issue. If the problem persists or further assistance is needed, contact Vembu support for additional guidance.
