Causes

During Boot Check, BDRSuite Backup Server/Offsite DR Server creates a temporary NFS datastore in the target ESXi host. If the NFS datastore creation fails in the target ESXi host due to the following reasons, then it will result in boot check failure.

1) BDRSuite Virtual Drive is not available on the BDRSuite Backup Server/Offsite DR Server.

2) Previously attached temporary datastore was not properly unmounted from the target ESXi.

Solution

Cause 1:

Ensure the following:

  1. BDRSuite Service needs to run in an administrator account.

  2. VembuBDR folder on the installation location has enough permissions. You can find the VembuBDR folder at < installation location >\Vembu\VembuBDR

Example: C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuBDR

Cause 2:

If the previously created datastore was not removed, you need to find the created datastore and manually delete it.

You can find the datastore created for boot check in the following format: VembuBDR_< BDR ID >

Example: If BDR ID is backupserver1, then the name of the created datastore is VembuBDR_backupserver1
