Description:
This Knowledge Base article addresses the missing or failed installation of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages for BDRSuite Servers [BDR / ODR] and Clients. When these packages are not properly installed, users may encounter issues with the functionality of BDRSuite Backup Server / BDRSuite Offsite Servers, as well as various BDRSuiteclient applications.
Cause 1: Server Installation (BDRSuite Backup Server (BDR) / BDRSuite Offsite Server (ODR)):
Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable is a prerequisite for  BDR and OffsideDR servers. If the installation of this package is skipped, users will receive notifications about it in the notification wizard of the Vembu BDR and Vembu OffsiteDR web consoles.
