Resolving Installation Issues: Overcoming Privilege Restrictions for BBA on Target Endpoint

KB ID: 117082
Cause:
The installation process employs a credential lacking administrative privileges.
Solution:
To address this issue, please follow the steps below:
1. Credential Adjustment:
  1. Use user credentials with Domain\Native administrator privileges when adding the host.
  2. The credentials may belong to either of the following categories:
    1. Domain user account credentials (member of Local Administrator group)
    2. Built-in account (Administrator) credentials
2. User Access Control Modification:
If the problem persists, you can modify User Access Control (UAC) to facilitate host addition.
To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Type 'uac' into the Windows Start menu.
  2. Click on "Change User Account Control settings."
  3. Adjust the slider to the "Never Notify" position.
  4. Confirm the changes and restart the computer.
3. Manual Installation:
If remote installation remains unsuccessful, you can opt to manually download and install BBA on the target host. Refer to KB:115202 for detailed instructions on this manual installation process.
