The error “Connection could not be established to the host“ usually occurs because of following reasons:

1) When the target host is unreachable.

2) When the Vembu Integration Service in the target host is unavailable.

3) When the Vembu Integration Service in the added target host is stopped.

4) When the Vembu Integration Service in the target host is of the lower version when compared with the server.

In order to overcome this error, please try the below steps:

1) Check whether the added host is reachable.

2) Check the availability of VIS agent

Go to control panel and select “Programs and features “
           Click “programs”
           Check for VembuIntegrationService

3) Check whether VembuIntegrationService is running in the target host.

Go to 'run' and type services.msc -> check for VembuIntegrationService
Right click and select properties and check “Startup type”, it should be automatic
If it does not then change the startup type as “Automatic”
Check the service status, if it is stopped state then start it by clicking “Start”

4) Check whether Vembu Integration Service port is blocked in firewall

Go to 'run' and type control panel
Select “System and security” and click windows firewall
Click “Advanced settings “ -> Inbound rules
           Check for “VembuIntegrationService” rule
If that rule is in the blocked state then Enable it by right click select properties -> and select allow the rule

If there is no 42005 port then add it manually in the firewall by using below steps:

Click add new rule -> select port and click next
Select TCP port -> and select specific local ports on that enter “42005” and click next
Select allow the connection and click next
Select rule apply as both Domain, private and public and click next
Enter the name as “VembuIntegrationService.exe” and click finish to add this rule to the firewall
Go to Inbound rules again to check whether the new rule is added to the firewall or not.
