Troubleshooting: Unable to Register with 360 Server - Solutions and Assistance

Unable to Register with BDR360 Server

KB ID: 115114
Causes:
1. BDR360 Server Absence or Service Inactivity: Registration of the BDRSuite Backup Server to the 360 Server may fail if the 360 Server is not installed or if the 'BDR360 Server' service is not running on the target machine.
2. Incorrect or Missing Registration Key: Registration may also fail if the registration key is not provided or if the entered registration key is incorrect.
3. Invalid Port Number: Providing an invalid port number can prevent successful registration. Ensure the correct web server port of the 360 Server is used.
4. Internet Connection Issues: If the BDRSuite server lacks internet connectivity or if there are issues with the proxy server or provided credentials, registration might not succeed.
5. IP Address/DNS Mismatch: The specified IP Address/DNS name may not correspond to a valid 360 Server.
6. Compatibility Issues: BDRSuite Server and 360 Server versions must be compatible for successful registration.
Solutions:
Cause 1:
  1. Confirm that the BDRSuite 360 Server is installed on the target machine specified by its IP Address/DNS name.
  2. If installed, check the service status by pressing 'Win + R', typing 'services.msc', and ensuring that 'BDR Service - BDRSuite 360 Server' is running.
Cause 2:
If 'BDR Server Authorization' is enabled on the 360 Server, ensure you have the correct 'Registration Key' for authorization purposes. Contact your BDRSuite Administrator if needed.
Cause 3:
Provide the correct web server port of the 360 Server. The default ports are HTTP - 6060 or HTTPS - 6061. Adjust if the port was customized during installation.
Cause 4:
Ensure the BDRSuite server has internet connectivity, or resolve any proxy server or credential issues on the server.
Cause 5:
Verify that no other product or BDRSuite product is running on the specified machine. Ensure you provide the correct IP Address/DNS name where the 360 Server is installed and operational.
Cause 6:
Successful registration with the BDRSuite Server and 360 Server requires both servers to be running the same compatible version. Ensure version compatibility for a seamless registration process.
