Cause:

This error would occur if the VembuPostgreSQL service is not properly started in your backup server machine or stopped due to any other environmental reasons.

Solution:

1) As the server database is being created/updated, try logging into the Vembu BDR/OffsiteDR after a few minutes and also make sure PostgreSQL installation drive( By default, PostgreSQL installation location: C:\Program Files\Vembu\PostgreSQL) has enough space(more than 10gb). If not so, then increase the drive space and try logging in.

2) If still, the server login process fails, then open the task manager of the Vembu BDR Server machine and stop the following services, VembuBDR.

VembuPostgreSQL (also kill the child executables of VembuPostgreSQL, if anything is running)

Stop<em>VembuBDR</em>Service

Stop<em>Postgres</em>Service

Then start both VembuPostgreSQL and VembuBDR services consecutively and try logging into your Vembu BDR Server.
