Scenarios:

The above error occurs when configuring backups from the client side in the following scenarios:

Cause:

The reported error occurs when there is a network drop / improper network connectivity / Network Timeout between the client and server side.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, it is recommended to change the certain attributes of SGConfiguration file available in both client and server machines.

Client Side:

Change the attributes of (IdleSocketTimeOutInterval,ClientReconnectTimeOut, ServerReconnectTimeOut,BackupAck,Authorization,FileAck) values to (18000,600,1800,600,600,600) in your client machine SGConfiguration file. You can navigate to the SGConfiguration file location as follows

Example: C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuImageBackup\conf\SGConfiguration.conf

Server Side:

Also, Change the attributes of (ServerReconnectTime, KeepAliveTime, writeBuffer, FileAck, BackupAck, IdleSocket) values to (1800, 30, 100000, 600, 600, 3600) respectively in the backup server SGConfiguration file. You can navigate to the SGConfiguration file location as follows

Example: C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuBDR\conf\SGConfiguration.conf

After performing the above-mentioned changes, try to re-run the job.
