Troubleshooting BDS Connection Issues with BDRSuite Backup Server

The BDRSuite Delegation Service (BDS) is encountering difficulties establishing a connection with the BDRSuite Backup Server.

Cause:
1. BDS is unable to connect to the BDR server using a specific IP address. The IP causing the connection failure is recorded as a runtime error.
2. BDS fails to connect to the BDRSuite Backup Server via port 32004 due to port restrictions, either on the BDRSuite Backup Server or the BDS (for details, refer to KB).
Solution:
To resolve the issues outlined above, it is recommended to assign a dedicated IP address exclusively for the use of the BDRSuite Backup Server for backup purposes.
Follow these steps:
1. Access the BDRSuite Backup Server console.
2. Under the Data Center & Private Cloud (or) Endpoints tab, select the 'Backup' menu.
3. Choose 'Configure Backup Settings,' then 'Advanced Settings.'
4. Locate the 'Backup Server DNS Name/IP Address' field and click 'Edit.'
5. Enter the dedicated IP Address and save the changes.
This IP Address should be reserved exclusively for Backup operations, facilitating a successful connection between the BDRSuite Delegation Service (BDS) and the BDRSuite Backup Server.
