Cause:

When a full scan of the disks (non-CBT mode) takes place before the incremental Hyper-V backup, this alert is shown. The incremental backup also will take the same time as it takes for a full backup.

A full scan will happen when VembuCBT driver fails. This might happen if the changed blocks of the disks can not be tracked when the VIS service is running in the local account in any one of the added SOFS file server nodes. [Windows 2012 R2]

Solution:

It is recommended to run the VIS service in specific account with administrative privileges in all the SOFS file server nodes.

The steps to modify user credentials of VembuIntegrationService are given below:

Step 1: Open Run window (key combination: Win + R), type services.msc and press enter. Service manager console window will open.

Step 2: From the list of services, right click "VembuIntegrationService" and select properties.

Step 3: Select logon tab and choose login as specific account. Provide credentials of users with administrative privileges and save it.

Step 4: Restart Vembu Integration Service.
