Cause
The above error occurs due to any one of the following reasons:
1) When you are trying to add a Windows Server/Workstation to the Vembu BDR Backup Server, the previously installed VembuIntegrationService (VIS) or Vembu BDR Client in the target Windows host is not uninstalled/cleaned up properly.
2) If the Windows Server/Workstation is not rebooted after uninstalling the VembuIntegrationService (VIS) or Vembu BDR Client.
3) When you are trying to install a Vembu BDR Client for VMware/Hyper-V/Windows on a Windows machine, the previously installed VembuIntegrationService or Vembu BDR Client is not uninstalled/cleaned up properly.
Solution
Reboot your Windows server/workstations and try adding your Microsoft Windows Servers/Workstations to the Vembu BDR Server or install the Vembu BDR Client for VMware/Hyper-V/Windows in the target Windows machine.
If the issue still persists even after rebooting the Windows machine, check for the entry of “Voltracker" in your registry (path: "SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Voltracker" ). If you find the entry with “Voltracker” in your registry, then follow the steps given below:
Note: We strongly recommend you follow the below-mentioned steps only if you have any entries with “Voltracker” in your registry; otherwise, it may lead to host machine boot failure.
Step 1: Download the appropriate driverutil.exe file based on your OS architecture using the below links.

Step 2: Copy the downloaded driverutil.exe to the client machines where the VembuIntegrationService / VembuImageBackup driver is not removed properly.
You can copy the driverutil.exe file to any directory of your choice.
Example: "C:\program files\"
Step 3: Open the command prompt with administrator privileges and change the home directory to the driverutil.exe location.
Example: cd "C:\Program Files"
Step 4: Execute the command "driverutil.exe -uninstall"
Step 5: Once the driver is successfully uninstalled, Reboot the client machine at your convenient time
