Vembu Disk Image backup gets failed with error "Source might be de-attached or unaccessible. Please check if the source is connected".


If the source disk configured for backup has been inaccessible/detached from the machine.


  • Check whether the particular volume is attached on the machine and it is accessible by the Operating System.
  • Go to Disk management in the client machine and check whether the volume is attached to the machine
  • Also you can check it by using Windows Explorer.
  • Then try rerunning the backup schedule and check the backup result.
