Client Authentication Failure with BDRSuite Backup Server

KB ID: 101007
Cause:
When attempting to connect to the BDRSuite Backup Server, clients may encounter an authentication failure. This problem usually arises when the client is deactivated in the backup server.
Solution:
To resolve the client authentication failure, follow these steps:
  1. Access the BDRSuite web console.
  2. For BDRSuite Client for VMware/Hyper-V/Windows/Linux,

    1. Navigate to Data Center, Private Cloud & Endpoints->Data Sources->Manage BDRSuite Clients->List of BDRSuite Clients.

For BDRSuite Client for Files and Applications,
Navigate to Applications & DBs->Data Sources->Manage BDRSuite Clients-> List of BDRSuite Clients.
  3. In the list, locate the specific client for which the authentication failure is occurring.
  4. Check the client's status (activated/deactivated) in the "Status" column.
  5. If the client is in a deactivated state, proceed to activate it by clicking on the appropriate icon in the "Action" column.
  6. Once the client is successfully activated, try connecting to the BDRSuite Backup Server again. The authentication issue should now be resolved.
By following these steps, the client authentication failure should be resolved, and the client should be able to connect to the BDRSuite Backup Server without any issues.
