Hi,
I have set up the following environment
Hyper-V Host - Physical - Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V (no GUI) Vembu BDR Server - VM - Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS with Vembu BDR Free Edition 4.0 NFS NAS - Physical - Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with NFS export configured
Everything has installed, but when I try and run a backup from the host, I get the following message:
Currently, your backup server is running in Free Edition mode. So, you can't configure/schedule the backup job from VembuAgent. Please purchase Enterprise Edition to enable this feature.
I have a simple full VM backup, not using application aware processing (although I would like to). My interpretation of the licensing was that this would work?
How do I make this work? I cannot install any applications directly on the host as it is Hyper-V so not licensed for running applications.
Thanks,

In response to Vembu:
Can you point me at the documentation/feature comparison where it shows this? I have spent time planning and trying this as nothing I read told me that this would be a problem.
If I was to use a Windows Vembu Server, can I still use remote storage? (SMB instead of NFS)
