Hi there, I have installed Vembu BDR on our Hyper V server and it is running in 30 day trial mode. I have tested the features and I also want to test the limitations of Free version. how can I convert it to free version without having to wait for 30 days ?

Right now, we do not have any option to switch the BDR backup server to FREE edition during the 30 days free full feature trial. However, if you register the BDR backup server to Vembu Portal, I will enforce the FREE edition to your BDR backup server. So, let me know once you have registered the BDR server with Vembu Portal.

In order to enforce FREE edition, your BDR backup server's trial expiry date has been modified. So, you need to login to BDR backup server web console and then go to "Management->Server Management->Server Registration and click 'Run License Check'". You can backup up to 3 VMs with no feature restriction with Vembu BDR Suite Free Edition. For rest of the VMs, you will get the limited features. Refer the following feature comparison to know more, https://www.vembu.com/vembu-bdr-suite...
On your other forum thread, I have requested your permission to manually convert your BDR backup server into the free edition. So, once it is converted into the free edition, you can test the free edition capabilities by yourself.
