Compression
Hi,
I was under the impression that jobs would be compressed automatically, however I have backed up a 2TB system and have about 2TB of data in the backup, is there somewhere I am missing to enable compression?

Thank you for reaching out Vembu Community Forum.
In Vembu BDR Suite, the data will be compressed & encrypted by default and getting stored in our proprietary Vembu HIVE file system. Please verify the size of the backup data in the Storage Location (sgstorage) for the backup folder.
Also, the compression ratio for files are based on the type of files that are being backed up. For eg, file types such as zip, rar (which are already in compressed state) wont get compressed during the backup process. Hence we suggest you check the type of the files that are being backed up.
In case of any issues with the size of the data please reply back to us with the below details.
- Type of the files that are being backed up.
- No.Of full backups and incrementals completed so far for the backup.
- Size of the data available in the storage location for the mentioned backup.
