Dear Sir/ Madam
I am using the free version of Vembu. I am running out of space in Backup Location. From the menu I cannot find an option to delete old backups. How can I free some space?
Kind Regards

Hi,
As per the current design of Free edition backups there is no retention policy. You need to delete the old backup time stamp in data storage location to clean up the Storage. But the deleted backup time stamp will be still shown in the restore page and please choose the correct time stamp for the available data to perform restore.
Yes, you are right. After deleting unwanted backup data from the storage location through file explorer, Vembu application will take some time to recognize the storage space details. New backups will be allowed once the storage space details are captured by the Vembu application. We are planning to include retention policy in Free Edition in our upcoming release version 3.9 which expected to be released in mid of Oct 2017. Once this retention feature is included users can set the retention policy for their backup job to cleanup older backup data automatically.
