How do you handle VLAN’s
We would like the dedicated NIC in each server be configured for a VLAN to keep the backup and restore traffic off our production LAN.

Vembu BDR Client and Backup Server communicates each other by creating a socket connection via 32004 port by using the configured IP address. Say, if you are having two NICs in each system and you want to use second NIC for backup and restore communication, you can manually bind the IP address with Vembu BDR Backup Server and Client installations.
Follow below steps to bind the IP address with Vembu BDR installation (You need follow this on all Vembu BDR Backup Server & Vembu BDR Client machines),
1.Login to the Vembu BDR Backup Server/Client machine.
2.Goto, C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuBDR\conf and open 'SGConfiguration.conf' file.
3.Search for 'IPAddress=" "' and enter the IP address.
For example,
<storegrid id="backupserver" ipaddress="10.x.x.x"><module startmodule="601" threadcount="3" keepaliveenabled="1" keepalivetime="60" encodeoption="1" reconnectionenabled="1" <="" p="">
4.Save the file and restart Vembu BDR service.
NOTE: If you want to bind the IP address with Vembu BDR installation, you should use static IP for the machines.
