disable admin restore.

Can we disable admin side restore from BDR?

This is due to compliance requirements.

Hi,

BDR is not having option to disable restore for admin. In our future releases you may have option to create users with 'Read-only' privilege. In that 'Read-only' user the restore option will not be available.

Thanks for your clarification. You can achieve this by setting-up the encryption password for the backups. So that, Vembu BDR admin couldn't restore the data with out the encryption password. We already have this feature in Vembu NetworkBackup client (files & application backups). The same option will be available for other image backups (VMware, Hyper-V, Disk Image backups) in our next immediate release which is expected to be available on end of June, 2017.

We have integrated the requested feature to create users with 'Read-only' privilege in our upcoming release of Vembu BDR v3.8 which is expected for GA by mid/end of next week.
