Your support helped me set up the shares for 3.0 on your downloaded appliance, now after upgrading to 3.1 the shares no longer work. The backup share now has a different share name and can no longer authenticate. I urgently need to restore a backup.

In our latest v3.1 release the share name has been changed to "VembuVirtualDrive" from "VembuBDRVirtualDrive". Follow below steps to change the share name in "smb.conf" file,
vi /etc/samba/smb.conf
Change the 'Path' entry with the new Vembu virtual drive location "/home/vembubdr/VembuVMBackupVirtualDrive"
Save the file
Restart samba service
sudo service smbd restart
Now add this share on a Windows machine and attach the VHD/VHDX image to restore the files and folders.
It seems that you have contacted our support team and they found the the user associated with the share unable to authenticate from the Windows machine while mounting. In order to resolve the issue, removed user attribute from the share on smb.conf file and provided enough permission for VembuVMBackupVirtualDrive. Then restarted smbd service and now the virtual drive successfully mounted with Windows machine.
