Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Please note that, this error "Connection failure with server" occurs when there is a temporary network connectivity issue between the client and the Vembu OnlineBackup servers running on Amazon Web Services. If the backup job failed with connectivity error, it will be automatically rescheduled and the backup job will continue where it was left before. We have noticed that the backup from your client is now reconnected and running without any issue. You can check this by login to the Vembu OnlineBackup client web console.
This is definitely **not** a temporary issue. There have been several instances of this error ... in fact, daily every day for weeks, consistent with the scheduled backup. They all have zero uploads with the "Connection failure with server" message. Additionally, the status was "backup in progress" all day but only 80 files were transferred and the transfer rate was a measly 2.4 Mbps. My internet connection uploads at 4.4 Mbps (download at 35.1 Mbps, 8 ms ping to www.speedtest.net ). I have reconfigured the backup and hope to see better results tomorrow.

There might be a connectivity issue between your client and Online Backup server frequently. We have checked the status of the backup from our end and it seems to be running fine till now. Please check the connectivity when the backup is failing.
