checking/escalating the VM Restore Failures with out direct access to the problematic machine

We are trying to restore a VMware backup in our data center and the restore proces fails to restore the whole data in bootable format. We are in a situation were we cannot provide direct access to the problematic client machine as the machine is deployed in our data center and as per our security policies the external access of machine is fully restricted. Please give us some guidance how to proceed with this restore case
