Free License is not applicable for this account.
I got the trial version and it expired. I registered with the portal to get the free license but after registering under Free license policy I get this message: "Free License is not applicable for this account." Under License management I see 1 Unassigned license and 0 Assigned
On the backup server under Management -> BDR Edition, Free edition is selected.
The main issue with this is when I try to run a backup I get the error: "Changed Block Tracking based incremental backup is not supported in Vembu Free Edition" but according to the website it should be.
I've had the same issue and after making a ticket and working with them they managed to get it working - after one or two uninstalls and reinstalls. The issue now is that it seems that every month I have to reach out again because backups stop working and I get an error saying I have no licenses. This is happening right now for the second time this month.
