I am evaluating the Vembu DBR and having issues with backing up VMs. I have switched the license to free mode and then tried to backup a VM, what i get after Vembu has taken and removed snapshots of the vm multiple times is this:
Error 105026: Unable to fetch VM configuration files.
What is this error related to?
I have deployed Vembu on a linux VM and vCenter is running version 7.
The Error: 105026 occurs when the Vembu BDR Backup Server fails to fetch the virtual machine configuration files from the datastore; this is more of an environmental-based error.

This pointed error may also occur when the version of the VMware ESXi is lower than the version of the vCenter server.
If you still face any complications even after following the steps mentioned in the KB article then kindly, drop an email to vembu-support@vembu.com with the version of your VMware ESXi host, and also don't forget to keep " Regarding the forum query" as the mail's subject line."

yes, the ESXi version is 6.5.0 and vCenter is 7.
I have gone through the KB and i dont think any of the 3 points mentioned there are causing the issue.
I'm having the same issue. vCenter 7, ESXi 7 When I installed VEMBU in Windows it was able to backup the VM successfully using the same vSphere credentials, so its not an environment issue. I noticed that the Windows installation is listed as v4.2.0 U1 (4202020051312) but the build I am running in Linux appears to be 4.2.0 4202020042223 Is there a newer build available for Linux that resolve the issue with vSphere 7?
