I'm using the Free edition of Vembu to backup a Hyper-V server. I'm getting success on 3 out of the 5 VM's that I'm backing up. 2 of them are giving me the above error message "Error while registering disk for backup". I've not been able to find any info about this error message in the community.
This error might occur when the BDR Backup Server is unable to access the VM disk details from the Hyper-V host while performing the backup.
To resolve this issue, we recommend upgrading your BDR Backup Server to the latest version 4.2.0(Update 1). Refer to the Software Update guide for more information.
Once the BDR Backup Server is updated, it will automatically update the Vembu Integration Service on the target Hyper-V hosts. This will take some time (maximum 2 hrs) after which you can schedule the backups again to see if the issue is resolved.
