Restore job stuck at "Configuration Checked, Gathering files for restore"

We are trying to restore an Ubuntu 18.04 VM to ESXi 6.7, using the Live Recovery option. After selecting the options and beginning the restore, the progress bar sits at the above spot, and does not progress past that. After almost 7 hours, I aborted the first attempt. The current attempt has been 2 1/2 hours so far, and still at this point.

Any help is appreciated.

Edit: We let the job continue to run overnight, but it is still "Gathering files for restore". Currently at 19 hours +.

For the Live Recovery of VMware VMs, there is an issue in the restore when the VMDI file is not properly updated. We have already identified the root of this issue and made a patch ready. You can contact our support at vembu-support@vembu.com and get this patch applied to your backup server.

However, this issue will be permanently fixed in the next update of the Vembu BDR Suite.

We are experiencing the same issue right now and we are running the latest version of your software.
Why do I pay you for software that doesn't work when we need it to?!

From your portal account, it seems that you are using Vembu BDR Suite v4.1.0.

We had recently released the latest version, Vembu BDR Suitev4.2. Download the latest version of the Vembu BDR Backup server from our website and upgrade it. Upgrading your backup server to the latest version will fix this issue.

Refer to the software upgrade guidefor more details. Contact our support at vembu-support@vembu.com, if you need any assistance during the backup server upgrade.
