Error when restoring

We are migrating VMs between an older VMWare installation and a new one. The two systems do not share the same datastores, so we are backing up the servers, and trying to restore them to the new ones. The backups complete successfully, and during the restore, the VM appears in the VM list on the new cluster. However, the vmdk never gets restored to the new datastore. The errors in the logs are as follows: 11-07-19 15:21:50 ERROR [ VmWareBackup::ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore ] Restore Failed for the above VM [VmWarePlugin.cpp:8712] 11-07-19 15:21:50 ERROR [ VmWareBackup::ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore ] ErrorCode :105104 [VmWarePlugin.cpp:8732] 11-07-19 15:21:50 ERROR [ VmWareBackup::ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore ] ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore : errMessage :CallBooleanMethod Failed [VmWarePlugin.cpp:8737] 11-07-19 15:21:50 ERROR [ VmWareBackup::ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore ] Error : Restore process interrupted for the above VM [VmWarePlugin.cpp:8745] 11-07-19 15:21:50 ERROR [ VmWareBackup::ExecuteVStorageAPIRestore ] Error Encountered was : CallBooleanMethod Failed [VmWarePlugin.cpp:8747]

Any help would be appreciated.

To get a clear understanding of the error, we are in need of the restore logs, which can be found from the path: < BDR _Home>\log\< BDR _ID> \< Backup Job _Name>; For Example (C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuBDR\log\ Client _ID\ Backup job _Name); collect the logs and mail to vembu-support@vembu.com as a zip file.
As per the expert's advice, instead of migrating data from one server to another, we would suggest trying the VM Replication feature of Vembu.

Thank you for your response. The logs have been emailed.

Unfortunately, we are currently using the free edition, so VM Replication is not an option.

We are still fighting this. Has anyone else run into this issue? As stated earlier, we are using the free edition, so VM Replication isn't an option.

Last time you have contacted our support with the logs, but to analyze the more on the issue, we requested for remote access. As you were not able to provide remote access to the target machine at that time, the support ticket was closed.

Since you are facing the same issue, we have created a support ticket for you from our side. One of our support engineers will get in touch with you through the registered email and help in resolving this issue at earliest.

Once the issue gets resolved, we will update the solution here.
