If there is a external HD attached to the workstation I want to be able to choose the ext HD as the storage path for the backup. I would be utilizing this type of backup config for Remote users who do not have access to the company nas or share.
As per the design, you cannot have a local copy of backup data on the client side. The clients will send the backup data to the backup server, where the data gets stored on the configured backup storage repository of the server. In this case, the remote client doesn't need to have access to the NAS or shared drive, as the Vembu BDR Server writes the data on NAS drive.
