I have checked the C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuBDR\bin folder, but this does not contain the VembuBDR.exe file. Is it just a simple case of reinstalling Vembu? or will this lose all existing job setups and configurations?
Installing the same version Vembu BDR server on top of existing installation will fix this error. It will not affect your existing backup jobs or its configurations.
We suspect this might occur if any of your antivirus or other 3rd party program has deleted the VembuBDR.exe from the installation location. If this is the case, add the VembuBDR.exe or the entire Vembu BDR installation location to the exclusion list.
Note: Do not uninstall Vembu BDR Server nor delete any of the files from the installation location.
