Hello, I just installed and started to use Vembu BDR 4.0. So, all good for virtualized servers. Just started evaluation but it seems promising. The next question is : can I backup my linux physical servers ? A linux agent should be needed in this case (or maybe ssh access ?) but I cant see anywhere such product. Or it is possible only with paid version or even not possible ?
You can backup the files & applications from a Physical Linux Servers using the Vembu NetworkBackup client.
You can download the Linux version of Vembu NetworkBackup client from Vembu BDR server by navigating to Backup > Files & Applications and click on the Download. It will take you a clients download page, click on Vembu NetworkBackup tab and download the appropriate agent.
If you are using the free edition of Vembu BDR Server, you can backup only the workstation using the Vembu NetworkBackup & ImageBackup clients, as workstation backups are free with Vembu. Servers are not allowed for backups in the free edition of Vembu BDR server. If you want to backup Physical Linux or Windows Servers, you need to have a paid edition of Vembu BDR Server.
