I am configuring both Physical and virtual image backups to my VembuBDR backup server at my data center. I am wondering is that I need to buy any external conversion tool from your end in case if I wanted to migrate a physical machine to virtual environment like Hyper-v or VMware Esxi server.

The VembuBDR file system VembuHive is designed in a way to have the intelligence to understand the type of image backup data that is been sent to the backup server and provide it in multiple different virtualization supported format for restore by fulfilling minimum RTO requirement of the data center administrator.
Due to the above, You don't need any conversion tool in order to convert image backup data to other visualization file formats. Where VembuHive provides the backed up image backup in the following below file formats.
VHD,VHDx,VMDK,RAW,VMDK-FLAT
You can restore the image data or copy it from the virtual mount drive. Please refer the below document for further more detailed information on your image data restore.
