Another client with the same ID Seems to be already registered with the backup server

I have a Windows 2008 R2 server that I recreated the backup schedule on and now when I run the backup job, I am getting the below message: Backup Server has rejected the connection request from this client. Another client with the same ID 'winserver2' Seems to be already registered with the backup server.

This is the only server that is currently running Vembu BDR on this server.

Can you please assist to resolve this problem?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the agent and not sure what else i should do.

I guess you would have reinstalled the agent with the same name. It is not possible to have two clients registered on the backup server with the same name, so delete the existing client entry from the Backup Server before configuring the backup.

To delete the existing Client entry from the backup server, Log in to your Vembu BDR Backup Server Web Console and navigate to Management > Server Management > Client Management to open the Client Information Reports.

Check whether the respective Client Name already exists in the Server. If yes, then delete the existing client entry using the "Delete" option and then re-run the Backup Job from your client agent.
