Windows XP SP3 supported?

Hi,

we have some production clients with Windows XP SP3 (in an isolated network...) and want to backup these with Vembu ImageBackup. The user guide says Windows 7 and above as "Minimum Configuration", but under https://www.vembu.com/vembu-imageback... Windows XP is still listed…

So the question is: Is it supported or not?

The latest version of Vembu BDR Suite uses MSI installer for all the clients, which is not supported by Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Operating Systems. However, in your case, you can install the latest version of Vembu BDR Backup Server and use our earlier version (v3.8.0) of Vembu ImageBackup client to perform the backups for the Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP OSes.

Since the Microsoft has stopped the Support for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Operating Systems, we also stopped the support for backups from the mentioned OSes. Also, we would like to inform you that for Windows Server 2003 and XP Operating Systems, there won't be any further updates. You can perform Backups and Restores without any issues, however, if there are any issues related to Operating System, Vembu will not be responsible for the failures.
