Error in starting Vembu BDR from Tray. Error in starting service. An instance of the service is already running. Try stop and restart service!

Vembu-VMBackup

I installed Vembu BDR on Windows 2008 R2 and I am getting this error message each time while booting the machine.

"Error in starting Vembu BDR from Tray. Error in starting service. An instance of the service is already running. Try stop and restart service!"

Kristen,

This is a harmless error and it will not affect Vembu BDR service. However you can get rid of this error by changing the startup type as "Automatic (Delayed Start)". You can follow this instruction to change the startup type.

"Start -> Type "Run" in search box and select -> type "services.msc" and enter -> Right click "Vembu BDR" service and select 'Properties' -> Select "Automatic (Delayed Start)" as Startup type"
