If I lose everything except the data/storage pool where the backups are, how do I restore data/VMs? Install Vembu on a new machine and then point to the storage pool and then go to the recovery section of the Vembu portal to restore VMs/data?

Yes, you can rebuild the VembuBDR server completely provided the backup data and the database dump file that are intact in the backup storage location. After the succesful server rebuild process, you can restore all your data under recovery page of VembuBDR server web console.
