Yes, you can perform the backup of Hyper-V VM on NetApp CIFS Storage. We suggest you to configure the Hyper-V backup with the Hyper-V host details through Vembu BDR server web console or installing Vembu VMBackup agent separately on Hyper-V host machine to backup the VM's.
