It is possible to recover the backup data without the database dump through manual effort. However, in our upcoming release of BDRSuite, we will be introducing a data import option in the user interface. This feature will allow users to recover data from a new/existing BDRSuite backup server by importing the backup data without the need for a DB dump. This will provide an easier and more efficient way to recover data in the event of a system failure or data loss.
