Well, I do see where the issue lies, if I export the object from the backup, you will notice it is stripping out the escaping \ in the DN.

dn: cn=Gadd, Kendall,ou=Users,ou=Riconanda,ou=Western,ou=BBII,ou=Companies,dc=BBIIUS,dc=NET

Should be dn: cn=Gadd\, Kendall,ou=Users,ou=Riconanda,ou=Western,ou=BBII,ou=Companies,dc=BBIIUS,dc=NET
