The above error message implies that the Vembu BDR server was unable to connect to the Vembu Portal to convert to free edition.

To resolve this, make sure

  1. Your Vembu BDR Server is connected to the internet and has access to portal.

  2. You have updated your proxy settings in the Vembu BDR server, in case if you are connected through a proxy server.

To update the proxy settings, login to your Vembu BDR server and open http://< machinename >:< portnum >/v/#/proxyUpdate in your browser, fill all the fields and click on save.

Where machinename:- Machine name or IP address of Vembu BDR Server, portnum:- Port number of Vembu BDR Server(default port number:6060)
