If your Vembu BDR backup server is not responding when a client is trying to connect, check the connection between the backup server and client. login to your Network Backup client, go to Settings > Test connectivity to Backup Server, Enter the IP address of the backup server and click on Test Connection. If you are finding any errors in connecting the Vembu BDR Backup Server and NetworkBackup Client, refer the Knowledge Base to fix the connection error.

If all the modules are working fine but still your backup server is not responding from the very first time i.e full backup or stopped responding in between the incremental backup schedules, share us the error message of the particular backup job by replying in the same thread.

You can find the error messages by navigating to Backup > List Jobs and clicking on the Report Icon corresponding to the respective backup job on your NetworkBackup Client.
