If you’re one among the long-term, loyal Vembu fanatic, you probably would have known the relationship and frequency Vembu maintain in meeting VMUG users. It’s been a month since Vembu made a live interaction with VMUG users and here we’re back again in full throttle meeting our users.

Vembu has finally launched Vembu VMBackup v3.1 last week, the upgraded version of Vembu BDR v3.0 for production environment; While the actual launch was successfully completed by last week of september at VMUG conferences held at Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas. It was a blissful experience to us on receiving double positive response and feedback from attendees.

We also had interesting discussions on upcoming developments of VMware environment and quite a good briefing about how VMware backup works with Vembu VMBackup v3.1. The highlights of VMware backup on Vembu VMBackup is given below:

  • UltraBlazeā„¢ technology for faster VMware backup.
  • VM Instant boot for faster disaster recovery.
  • Application-Aware and granular recovery.
  • Boot VMs via NFS file shares.
  • VM Power Replicationā„¢.
  • Agentless VMware backups.

The other most repeated question we faced in common to all three VMUG events is: how Vembu differs from its competitors when it comes to backing up VMware environment?

The answer is pretty simple, the method involved in backing up VMware remains the same to all backup products; But the place where Vembu VMBackup differs is with the file format of backup data stored. Vembu have its patented file format VembuHIVE that secures the backup data with secure encryption methods while compressing data highly saving TBs of storage space.
