This year will be my second year attending CompTia’s ChannelCon. I can remember my first ChannelCon like it was yesterday. I had just joined Vembu and was getting up to speed on on everything IT, and although I was nervous to be attending my first tech trade show, CompTia helped train me to be knowledgeable in marketing in the channel. I was able to take a three day long course on channel marketing that gave me a robust foundation on vendor positioning. It was a gold mine.

Aside from the courses I took, I met with a lot of really interesting women in technology who were able to give me really good perspectives on their positions and careers choices and how they were able to make an impact in their lives and communities. Needless to say, I am absolutely excited to be able to attend CompTia ChannelCon this year as a representative for Vembu and look forward to meeting more people, this time with a little more confidence.

Protect Your Data with BDRSuite

If you have not yet been able to attend CompTia ChannelCon, there are many reasons why you should consider it. Aside from the vendor fair where you will find companies from across the nation exhibiting their latest technologies, CompTia offers certification courses and meetup groups where you are able to network with like minded peers in IT. You can earn well regarded business credentials and executive certificates on-site, and collaborate with the IT channel’s most impressive leaders. Last year I was able to network with AT&T and IBM, just to name a few.

CompTia also offers hands on workshop sessions where you can work in groups to problem solve. I found these sessions to be fun and beneficial. Not only were they a great way to get to know other people, they were a great learning tool when it came to trying to solve problems taking different real-world approaches. I found the session leaders to be well qualified and prepared.

This year at ChannelCon I am very excited because we are just about to release our latest version of Vembu BDR, version 3.5, which features a robust set of disaster recovery tools including failover and failback replication with IP remapping, high performance WAN acceleration and first ever agentless Hyper-V replication.
