Every trade show Vembu attends will increase brand awareness and trust. Our next large event, VMworld is coming up soon which will be from August 30th to September 3rd in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. Previously, I attended VMware Partner Exchange and Microsoft Ignite where attendees from around the world and a plethora of large IT companies came together to learn about the latest trends in tech. MS Ignite was a very successful event; many consumers were interested in our backup and recovery software. VMworld will be Vembu’s largest trade show to date and we are looking forward to showing off Vembu BDR.

Microsoft Ignite was a large event that allowed us to show Vembu BDR demos to a lot of interested people looking for a better backup and recovery solution. The Vembu team made sure we prepared for this event. From product management to marketing, we made sure everything was perfect for Ignite. We provided free flash drives and backpacks as our giveaways. Our product along with data sheets were supplied on the flash drive. This allowed attendees to try the product for free for 30 days and be impressed by our awesome software. We even hired a Keith Fields, an internationally recognized magician who kept us all entertained. We are excited to announce that Keith Fields will be joining us again, this time at VMworld in San Francisco.

VMworld is going to be an amazing event. Over 23,000 people from around the world will be attending this event. Currently the Vembu Developers are working hard and making tweaks to our product, BDR in order to release the upcoming version v3.5 in September. We are currently going through support tickets to fix recurring issues to improve our product and increase customer satisfaction. In Marketing, we are making sure all the deliverables are complete. This includes making sure we order cool giveaways and producing data sheets for our product. We will also have a huge 20×20 booth equipped with multiple PC stations so we can give demos to show that our product is easy to use and reliable.

Many consumers will ask what the difference is between Vembu and our main competitor, Veeam. Our job is to educate the consumer about how our product has many of the same features as Veeam (and in some cases we even outperform them) but at a much lower price. This greatly differentiates us from major data backup companies and we have helped many companies increase their revenue through our low cost software. The majority of customers use VMware vSphere as their hypervisor of choice, so as we prepare for the event, we are taking time out of our schedule to educate all of our booth staff about VMware. We are striving to reach a 100% VCA certification as a minimum for our staff. This will allow us to be more confident and have more educated conversations with those that will be attending the event. Personally, I have learned things like the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors, difference between vCenter and vSphere, and even what VMware does! This will greatly help me have quality conversations with those in the IT Field.

We are working hard to prepare for VMworld which will one of the largest conferences that Vembu has attended. We will have to make sure the product is working properly and all deliverables are complete on time for the event. We will use the same technique we did from Microsoft Ignite by having great giveaways and Keith Fields to increase crowds to our booth. We will also make sure to have thorough and educated conversations so we can make sure our visitors are getting the most out of their experience at VMworld. Also our main objective is to give attendees demos so they can understand how simple it is to use our backup and recovery software. I am looking forward to attending VMworld. It will be an exciting event and I will learn so much. Come visit us at booth 511!
