Migrating Customers' Backup Data

How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
  In the top menu, select: "Server Admin->Customer Management" and click on the "Client Migration" icon on the left hand side.

StoreGrid supports seamlessly allowing a customer, who is in trial mode, to become a paying customer retaining all the data the customer backed up during the trial period. Using this feature, not only trial customer's data, other paid customer's data can also be moved to another customer. This UI page is used to configure the moving of data from a customer to another customer.

Please note that you cannot move a paid customer's data to the Trial customer.

The steps to follow for the moving of data from one customer to another are given below:

Step 1: Select the customer name (from which the clients are to be migrated) from the select box on the left hand side.(i.e Migrate from).

Step 2: All the Clients under the customer(selected in the previous step) will be listed. Note that by default all the clients' will be checked. (i.e all the clients under this customer will be migrated).
You can also select particularly the clients you wish to migrate. Check the clients, you wish to migrate.

Step 3: Select the customer name to which the clients to be migrated from the check box on the right hand side.(i.e Migrate to) Note: Trial Customer will not be listed, because you cannot migrate the clients from paid customer to Trial Customer. Incase if you wish to migrate to a new customer, first add the customer by clicking on "Server Admin->Customer Management->Add New Customer" icon. Then proceed with the above steps.

Step 4: Press the migrate button to finish the migration. Once you press the migrate button the migration operation should finish in a few seconds. Note if any of the clients' are active, (i.e Backup, Restore, Delete, Replication is in progress) that particular client could not be migrated.
