How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
 In the top menu, select "Events --> Events".
Events are messages which give details about any problem that needs to be looked into by an administrator. There are number of problem scenarios under which events can be generated. Some of them are listed below:
- When a backup is not taken because of a connection problem with the backup server.
- When a file is skipped for backup because of inadequate permissions.
- When a backup server refuses a backup request from a client because of exceeding allotted backup space.
- And so on ...
Events are also classified based on severity – in typical Sys Admin lingo:
Critical Events are relatively serious in nature and an administrator has to take some corrective action.
Major, Minor and Warning events are less severe and may be transient.
Information events are simply for information purposes.
Filtering Events
The Events UI allows you to filter events on one or more of the following event attributes:
StoreGrid Module - You can filter based on which module of StoreGrid generated the events. Choose the module from the list in the drop down box.
Event Type - You can filter events depending on the severity of the event. Choose the severity from the drop down box.
Event Time - You can filter events based on a time range. Choose the From and To times by clicking on the "small box" adjacent to the text field.
Description - You can filter events on the basis of the message attribute in the event. The message describes the problem because of which the events were generated. You might, for example, wish to see other events generated with a similar message.
