StoreGrid’s Free Edition is yours to keep ! No feature limitations or time based trials! Packed with all the features in the Professional Edition, Home networks and SOHOs now have no excuse not to backup their desktops & laptops...
StoreGrid provides you with a trusted Peer-to-Peer backup solution using hardware you already own! Let us say you have 3 computers in your ‘small network’ (wired or wireless, it doesn’t matter), each with about 40GB of hard disk space. Chances are, you’re using just a quarter of your hard disk capacity now. Do the math! That’s 90 GB of idle space doing just that – being idle! Let StoreGrid help you use this wasted resource to provide a backup solution for everyone – for FREE!
What's more? If you've invested in an external hard disk, you could use Storegrid's powerful features to back up to this as well! Click here to know how!
Please note:
- The Free Edition is restricted to a maximum of 3 installations.
- These 3 installations have to be within the same network, ie you can’t back up to a remote server.
- Technical support for the Free Edition is only available through the StoreGrid forum
- StoreGrid Free Edition is available only for Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
- If and when you wish to upgrade from the Free Edition to other editions, simply install the new edition over your existing 'Free Edition' installation - all your backup schedules and settings will remain unchanged!
- If you wish to install StoreGrid on more than 3 computers in a network, please use the Professional Edition for ALL installations. You cannot use the Free Edition on 3 computers and Professional on the rest since Free will not work if it detects over 3 installations of StoreGrid running, irrespective of the Edition!.
Do remember that you must install StoreGrid on at least two computers! One backs up, and the other stores the backup. Unless of course, you're simply using StoreGrid to back up to an external hard disk connected to your USB port. In which case, one installation is enough!
